Ambuja Cements Limited (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Company’) is committed to respect privacy of every person, including employees of the Company, business partners as well as vendors, dealers and all others who share their sensitive personal data or information (‘Sensitive Personal Information’) with the Company.

This privacy policy (‘Policy’) is applicable to employees, businesses partners/associates, vendors, dealers, customers etc. (‘Information Providers’), who disclose Sensitive Personal Information to the Company for lawful business requirements of the Company.

The purpose of this Policy, as amended from time to time, is to give the Information Providers an understanding on how the Company intends to collect, receive, possess, store, transfer, handle, deal with and use the Sensitive Personal Information provided.

Sensitive Personal Information of the Information Providers may be required to be collected, maintained and transferred for business and official purposes with the express consent of the Information Providers. Such Sensitive Personal Information may have to be shared with other Group Companies or third party, within and outside the country, as per lawful business requirements of the Company.

The Company shall ensure confidentiality of such Sensitive Personal Information and grievances, if any, related to such issues shall be resolved by the grievance officer appointed by the Company for this purpose (‘Grievance Officer’).

By executing a consent letter provided by the Company, the Information Providers shall consent to the collection, storage, usage, disclosure, processing and transfer of their Sensitive Personal Information provided to the Company for the purposes mentioned in this Policy.

The Information Providers have the option of not providing their Sensitive Personal Information sought to be collected if they do not agree with this Policy or even otherwise. Further, the Information Providers also have the option to withdraw their consent given earlier, provided such withdrawal of consent is intimated in writing.

What information Company may collect?

The Company may collect the following types of Sensitive Personal Information, including but not limited to:

Name, contact details, details of past employment (in the case of employees, wherever relevant);
Financial details such as bank account, pan card, salary, provident fund details;
Password used for company provided systems, websites/web pages;
Sexual orientation;
Physical, physiological and mental health condition;
Medical records and history;
Biometric information.

Purpose of collection:

The Company may collect, use, receive, possess store, disclose, process and transfer the Sensitive Personal Information for various purposes, including but not limited to, the following:

To enable functioning of the Company’s business,
In connection with a variety of purposes relating to employment or engagement of employees, including but not limited to, general HR administration; organization planning and management;
Compliance with company policies, code of conduct and internal regulations;
Business mergers and acquisitions; business transfers, etc.;
Legal, judicial, governmental and regulatory compliance;

Overseas affiliates’ compliance with foreign laws and cooperation with overseas regulators;

Data Collection and Usability in the Ambuja Cement Connect Mobile App:

Collection and Use of Contact Information:
1. Collection: Ambuja Cement Connect may request access to your device's contact list, which is necessary for features like syncing contacts or sharing content with your contacts.
2. Use: The contact information obtained by Ambuja Cement Connect will be exclusively used within the app to enhance user interaction and facilitate communication. Rest assured, we will not share your contact information with third parties without your explicit consent.
Access to Photos and Files:
1. Collection: Ambuja Cement Connect may request access to photos and other files stored on your device's SD card or files not owned by the app, to provide features like uploading images or accessing files for in-app use.
2. Use: Files and photos accessed by Ambuja Cement Connect will only be used within the app to enhance its functionality, such as attaching images to messages or sharing content. We do not transfer or store these files externally.
Content from User Email:
1. Collection: If you choose to integrate your email account with Ambuja Cement Connect, we may access and display content from your user email account.
2. Use: Email content accessed by Ambuja Cement Connect will be utilized exclusively within the app for sending emails or displaying email content. We uphold strict privacy standards and will not share your email content with third parties without your explicit consent.
Access to Call Log:
1. Collection: Ambuja Cement Connect may request access to your device's call log, which is essential for features such as call history tracking within the app.
2. Use: Information from your call log will only be used within Ambuja Cement Connect to provide features related to call history tracking and user communication. Your call log information will never be shared externally without your permission.
Access to SMS Log:
1. Collection: We may request access to your device's SMS log for specific features within Ambuja Cement Connect.
2. Use: SMS log information will be employed solely within Ambuja Cement Connect to enhance its messaging and communication features. We are committed to respecting your privacy and will not share your SMS log information with third parties without your explicit consent.
Beacons:
1. Limited Data Collection: Beacons themselves only transmit a signal, typically a random identifier, that can be picked up by devices with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This identifier doesn't inherently reveal your identity.
2. App Dependence: Where privacy comes into play is with the app that interacts with the beacon. The app can collect data about your location, dwell time near the beacon, and potentially link it to other information you provide.
Bluetooth :
1. Device Visibility: When your Bluetooth is turned on, nearby devices can detect its presence. This doesn't necessarily identify you personally but can indicate a device is in range.
2. Permissions: Apps that use Bluetooth may request permission to access your location data. This can be used to build a more detailed picture of your movements. Here are some general privacy principles to consider.
3. Transparency: Be clear with users about what data is being collected by the app that interacts with the beacon and how it's being used.
4. Control: Allow users to opt-in or out of data collection and location sharing.
5. Security: Implement strong security measures to protect any data collected from beacons or Bluetooth.
