Ambuja Cement has been conferred with the internationally acclaimed ‘LACP Annual Report Competition – 2019 Vision Award’ for innovatively and effectively preparing the ‘Annual Report-2019’, that provides insights into all aspects of the Company’s operations; and demonstrating strong ethics, excellence in corporate reporting and communication capabilities.
Brimming with pride, CEO LafargeHolcim India and MD&CEO Ambuja Cement Neeraj Akhoury said, “The global recognition reiterates our exceptional corporate reporting and wider disclosures that go beyond minimum regulatory requirements meeting the needs of various stakeholders. For the first time, we have prepared the Annual Report in a completely digital format. With simplified navigation and visual appeal, the Report is truly captivating with its unique presentation.”
Racing past submissions under the ‘Materials category’ from over two dozen countries, Ambuja Cement bagged the Silver award. The ‘Material’ category (includes those companies with an annual revenue size between USD 1 billion – USD 10 billion and an employee base of 1,000 – 10,000 across the globe) also saw several ‘Fortune 500’ companies in the race that underwent multiple stage screening processes before being shortlisted. While announcing Ambuja as the winner, the Jury remarked, “Your report demonstrated exceptional characteristics which set it apart as one to be truly celebrated.”

Eight key parameters were evaluated – First Impression, Report Cover, Letter to Shareholders, Report Narrative, Report Financials, Creativity, Message Clarity and Information Accessibility. Ambuja notched a perfect score of 100% in five of these parameters; and recorded an overall high score of 97%.
