Water Management

We have set quantitative, time-bound targets to maintain and enhance our water positive status with a target to be ten times water positive by 2030. The initiatives undertaken not only support sustainable operations but also contribute meaningfully to local water security in the communities where we operate.

Key Intiatives

Wastewater generated as sewage across our units is treated and reused for non-potable purposes like dust suppression and gardening.
Large-scale rainwater harvesting to improve local water availability.
Construction of check dams, pond deepening in collaboration with government bodies and the Adani Foundation to enhance community resilience.
We conduct comprehensive water use assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and drive actions to reduce water consumption across operations.
Continuous monitoring of water withdrawal, consumption, recycling, and disposal to ensure transparency and accountability.
Conducting regular training and awareness sessions for employees to promote water efficiency and responsible management.
Strong water stewardship practices in water stressed areas through proactive risk assessments, conservation initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
