Ambuja Cement Foundation felicitated at Gujarat CSR Authority Awards 2018 Bags award for Strategic and Cohesive Partnership in Water Resource Management & Agro based livelihoods
Ambuja Cement conferred with ‘Outstanding Accomplishment for Corporate Excellence’ for demonstrating outstanding policy, practice and results by successfully incorporating sustainability in its core; honored to receive this for the 8th consecutive time in a row. Company’s three plants – Maratha Cement Works (Maharashtra), Ambujanagar (Gujarat) and Bhatapara (Chhattisgarh) also bagged six prestigious accolades for their domain excellence in environment management and corporate social responsibility @ CII-ITC Sustainability Awards 2017, New Delhi.
Ambuja Cement wins Best Technical Paper Award at 15th NCB International Seminar held in New Delhi. The Company has received the Best Paper Award for its technical paper - A Study of Mineralogy and Microstructure of Clinker by XRD and Microscopy – presented under the joint authorship of Rabriyawas plant and Corporate Quality. Ambuja’s report was among the 10 best papers shortlisted from 200 papers.
“This is a moment of great pride as Ambuja has bagged the award for the first time,” Ambuja’s Chief Internal Auditor Prabhakar Mukhopadhyay, on receiving the award from jury chairman Nagesh Pinge at a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai recently. “Winning this award also reflects the company’s I CAN spirit that sets higher targets and excellence through individual and collective goals,” added Mr Mukhopadhyay.
Ambuja Cement’s Ras II Limestone Mine at Rajasthan was conferred the prestigious ‘National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) Social Awareness Award 2016-17’ by Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI ) for its significant contribution in socio-economic development of the communities around business operations At a glittering ceremony held on 29th August in Delhi.
Ambuja's grinding unit Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) was awarded for its energy efficiency at the 18th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2017 held by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in Hyderabad.
