Water Resource Management
Water security is critical for community well-being, particularly in water-stressed rural regions. Adopting a holistic water stewardship approach, the Company focuses on safe drinking water access, rainwater harvesting and responsible water use. Strong stakeholder engagement supports effective monitoring and reinforces long-term water resilience. During the year, community-based water literacy initiatives encouraged participatory groundwater governance, enabling villages to develop local water plans and budgets. These initiatives are complemented by the promotion of efficient irrigation practices, including micro-irrigation, in collaboration with government agencies and partners, enhancing water-use efficiency, strengthening livelihoods and contributing to sustainable water management outcomes.
World Environment Day celebrated across locations with tree plantations and various environmental activities
Ambuja Cements has enhanced water security in Rajasthan’s Marwar Mundwa region through a comprehensive rainwater harvesting initiative, installing over 3,400 household Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Systems (RRWHS) across 11 villages and creating storage capacity of approximately 555 lakh litres of safe drinking water. In addition, 47 community-level systems have added nearly 20 lakh litres to local water capacity, while the revival and deepening of 140 traditional ponds have strengthened long-term water resilience. These integrated interventions have reduced the burden of water collection—particularly for women—improved school attendance among girls, and enhanced the quality of life for more than 6,000 households, reinforcing Ambuja Cements’ commitment to sustainable rural development and community water stewardship.

Agro-based Livelihoods
Agriculture remains a cornerstone of rural livelihoods, making farm and allied sector development essential for inclusive and sustainable progress. The Company's community initiatives focus on capacity building of farmers on latest agri-technology and soil testing for improving soil health and productivity of crops. Efforts to promote crop diversification, responsible input use and climate-smart farming practices support productivity while protecting natural resources. Allied activities in animal husbandry and livelihood enterprises help diversify incomes and reduce risks. Collective platforms such as farmer groups and producer organisations enhance market access, bargaining power and long-term resilience. The integration of clean energy solutions, including solar-based irrigation, further improves land productivity and cost efficiency, reinforcing soil health, resource stewardship and rural prosperity.
Through its sustainable biomass initiative, Ambuja Cements is enabling farmers to transform agricultural residue into a reliable source of livelihood. Approximately 500 farmers across Marwar Mundwa and Rabriyawas in Rajasthan and Ambujanagar in Gujarat have been mobilised into Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) to collectively supply biomass derived from crop residues such as sugarcane, mustard, fennel, cumin and Prosopis juliflora.
By diverting farm waste from open-field burning to productive industrial use, the initiative reduces emissions while creating an additional income stream for rural communities. Despite challenges posed by climate change, erratic rainfall and market competition, the programme supplied over 41,873 MT of biomass in FY 2025-26, strengthening farmer incomes and advancing environmental sustainability.

Ambuja Cements is advancing green skilling and rural employability through the launch of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Assembly Operator Trade at its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) in Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh. Designed to prepare rural youth for the fast-growing electric mobility sector, the initiative combines classroom instruction with hands-on training in a state-of-the-art EV lab equipped to provide practical exposure to electric rickshaws, scooters, battery systems and motor controls.
Building on its legacy of training over 700 local youth in this trade, the programme marks a strategic expansion into future-ready skills aligned with India’s clean energy transition. By equipping participants with technical expertise in EV assembly and maintenance, the initiative enhances employability in emerging green industries while fostering entrepreneurial potential.
10 women from the Sorath Mahila Federation who purchased E-rickshaws through loans were provided a twomonth training in driving at the Ambujanagar skill centre. Through this forward-looking intervention, Ambuja Cements continues to focus on inclusive growth while supporting the nation’s transition towards a greener economy.

It reinforces the continuum of care through, community clinics, health camps and upgraded village health centres with focus on maternal and child health, non-communicable disease, malnutrition and speciality health camps, complemented by technology-enabled solutions such as telemedicine and portable diagnostic tools. Trusted local health workers serve as vital connectors, promoting preventive practices, guiding families and ensuring sustained follow-up. Strategic partnerships with government health systems and medical institutions further enhance service integration and long-term sustainability. Collectively, these interventions ensure that healthcare delivery remains consistent, accessible and dependable— reaching underserved communities with continuity, compassion and purpose.
Ambuja Cements is advancing preventive healthcare in Bathinda through its CSRled initiative to promote tobacco-free schools, addressing behavioural risks linked to non-communicable diseases at an early stage. In Buladewala village, concerns over suspected tobacco use among students prompted a collective response from school authorities, parents and the wider community. With structured support from Ambuja Cements, the school implemented a coordinated campaign comprising counselling sessions, awareness rallies, parent engagement meetings and focused activities around World Tobacco Day. Role-plays and community outreach strengthened understanding of the health risks associated with tobacco, while coordination with local authorities ensured the removal of vendors selling tobacco near the school premises. Students actively participated in spreading awareness within their families and neighbourhoods, reinforcing a culture of prevention. As a result, Buladewala School is now among 183 schools in Bathinda declared tobaccofree under the Company’s CSR efforts, reflecting Ambuja Cements’ commitment to grassroots behavioural change and the creation of healthier, safer learning environments.

She further diversified into poultry and goat rearing, creating multiple income streams and strengthening her financial resilience. Krishna’s journey reflects Ambuja Cements’ grassroots approach of equipping women farmers with the skills, tools and confidence needed to transition from subsistence cultivation to sustainable, profit-oriented agricultural enterprises.

Ambuja Cements advances holistic education by strengthening school infrastructure with safe water and sanitation, STEM labs, libraries and sports facilities, while addressing dropout rates— particularly among girls—through focused menstrual hygiene interventions, sanitation upgrades and teacher capacity-building. Rural Infrastructure
The Company prioritises the development of essential infrastructure in its core villages, investing resources to address identified gaps and improve overall living standards. Adopting a need-based, community-led approach, infrastructure priorities are determined through close consultation with residents and local institutions to ensure that interventions respond to genuine and immediate requirements. Initiatives include the construction and improvement of roads and pathways to enhance mobility, installation of lighting to strengthen safety, waterrelated works to meet daily needs, and the creation of shared community assets such as halls, libraries and playgrounds that promote social cohesion. Each project is designed for long-term sustainability, reinforcing not only physical infrastructure but also collective ownership and community resilience.
Recognising that safe public spaces are essential for community well-being, Ambuja Cements supported the installation of 150 solar street lights across Bareli, Pausari, Maldi, Mopar and Rawan in Chhattisgarh. As the lights came on, village roads, temple surroundings and internal pathways were illuminated, restoring visibility, safety and confidence.
Roads that were once feared became safer to navigate. Accidents were reduced, and residents moved with greater ease after dark. For women in particular, the change was transformative. Improved lighting eased long-held anxieties, allowing them to step out at night for work, household needs and community responsibilities without fear.
In Rawan and its neighbouring villages, lighting did not just brighten streets. It extended productive hours, strengthened mobility and restored a sense of security. Through a simple yet thoughtful infrastructure intervention, communities reclaimed their nights, and with them, everyday life.

Ambuja Cements serves a wide spectrum of customers, including Individual Home Builders (IHBs), developers, institutional clients, masons, contractors and construction professionals. Among these, IHBs remain a critical segment, increasingly relying on contractors for product selection and construction decisions. These platforms recognise high-performing contractors, build awareness on sustainable construction practices, showcase the Company’s products and services, and onboard new members into its loyalty programmes.

Ambuja Cements is supporting the Executive Excellence Programme (EEP), a national capacitybuilding initiative under Skill India and Manthan, to strengthen the capabilities of engineers and architects shaping India’s infrastructure growth. Delivered in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar and IISc Bangalore, EEP offers intensive residential learning focused on sustainable construction, asset management and emerging technologies. Since its inception, the programme has trained over 2,000 professionals, including 175 participants in 2024, helping build a future-ready talent ecosystem that supports the Company’s broader stakeholder and channel network.
On Engineers’ Day, Ambuja Cements celebrates the engineers who answer the most critical question in nationbuilding— how to build. Across engineering, logistics, sales and sustainability, the Company’s engineers work collaboratively to deliver solutions that combine scale, precision and responsibility. Their efforts have supported some of India’s most iconic infrastructure projects, including the Chenab Bridge, Atal Setu, Bharatmala corridors, Marine Drive and the JJ Flyover—structures that symbolise resilience, innovation and progress. Guided by the spirit of #Reimagination, engineers at Ambuja Cements continuously learn, unlearn and re-engineer processes to embed sustainability and long-term accountability into every solution. By honouring its engineers as the invisible hands behind the nation’s most visible achievements, the Company recognises their pivotal role in building not just enduring structures, but a future that stands strong for generations to come.
The Company is engaged with a vast and diverse supplier ecosystem, comprising large enterprises, MSMEs, contractors, transporters, and service providers. This engagement is not transactional in nature; it is anchored in long-term partnerships that create shared value for the business and its value-chain partners. By deliberately integrating local suppliers and service providers into our supply chain, the Company contributes to grassroots enterprise development, livelihood creation, and regional economic resilience. Currently, up to 89.41% of procurement is sourced from local enterprises, enabling sustained income. As these suppliers scale alongside Adani’s projects, they generate multiplier effects that strengthen local economies, build capabilities, and improve financial stability for communities. This sustainable supply chain approach is complemented by a strong foundation of responsible and transparent supplier governance. The Company has established a structured framework to promote ethical conduct, safe working conditions, environmental stewardship, and compliance across its supply chain. Through a Supplier Code of Conduct, ESG-based screening for new suppliers, periodic assessments of existing suppliers, and focused capacity-building initiatives, the Portfolio seeks to progressively elevate sustainability standards while supporting suppliers in their transition journeys. Rather than serving as a gatekeeping mechanism alone, these processes are designed to enable supplier improvement, long-term alignment, and shared risk management.
Our suppliers are not only partners in project execution but also stakeholders in a broader development agenda one that advances economic opportunity, strengthens local enterprise capabilities, and contributes meaningfully to India’s sustainable growth trajectory.

In parallel, the Company is automating in-plant logistics to streamline dispatch and reduce loading time, with a long-term focus on end-to-end logistics automation.
To manage the scale and complexity of its operations, Ambuja Cements has implemented a robust sales and operations planning framework using a linear programming model with monthly planning, weekly refinements and daily tracking. To enable sharper source selection and real-time decision-making, the Company is developing an advanced planning model with dynamic order allocation. The system considers order size, delivery status, total cost, inventory availability, vehicle readiness, transit stock, committed timelines and order clubbing potential—strengthening agility while improving service levels and cost efficiency.
Ambuja Cements has strategically reorganised its techno-commercial team to improve alignment, technology adoption, supplier relationship management, cost optimisation, risk mitigation, performance metrics and process design. The function has also scaled digital procurement interventions, including Ariba e-auctions for aggregates and sand across select locations, supported by vendor training and engagement to drive participation.
