Learning and development

An integral part of the work culture, learning and development programmes equip Ambuja Cement employees with knowledge and skills

Learning and development helps employees to acquire necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to keep pace with a dynamic work environment, and fulfil the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.

At Ambuja Cement, learning and development programmes are an indivisible part of the work culture. Sustained efforts have led to 70 per cent percent of employees being imparted with productivity and quality training.

In association with ACC, Ambuja Cement set up the ACC ACL Leadership Academy (AALA) in 2012 to provide training in technical, leadership, procurement, sales and marketing skills to employees and field staff to build capability and competence.

Robust training modules which emphasise quality and effective application at the workplace have been developed. About 50% of staff time at the academy is spent in understanding and inculcating strong work practices during training. AALA aims at using innovative training methodologies to deliver best-in-class quality training.

AALA also partners with some of the best management and technical institutes like the Indian School of Business, Indian Institute of Management Indore, Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance, ESAB, etc. to build competence.
