Sustainability remains at the core of
mining operations of ACL by way of
applying ecologically sound mining and
process technologies and adopting the
best practices for prevention and control
of emissions, effluents and wastes. The
primary raw material for our operations
is limestone which is sourced through
our captive mines.
The mining operations comply with applicable legal
andother requirements as laid down by
various concerned Govt. |
bodies viz IBM,
MoEF, SPCB, CGWB etc. Additionally,
safety norms laid down by Directorate
General of Mines Safety (DGMS) and
our internal safety standards are strictly
complied within day to day works.
The limestone excavation is carried out
by highly mechanized, modern, open cast
mining technology. |
The mining
method varies as per geographical
condition, nature of occurrence of the
deposit, geology of the area, physical
and chemical characteristics of the
mineral, topography, hydro-geology,
structural features and quantum of
waste material / soil to be handled.
In Gujarat area, where the limestone
is soft to moderately hard, we employ Surface Mining technology. |
